India, Sept. 14 -- Many Indian firms are increasingly thinking out of the box to explore opportunities in other industries that have not been the focus of their business until now. A few firms have diversified into different sectors such as chemicals and engineering, defence, paints, semiconductors, and data centers by expanding their capacities or making investments in order to build up capabilities. Although their impact is not visible at this point, these businesses could eventually play an important role in the future.
