India, July 8 -- The infrastructure for people to walk in Bengaluru is going to be better now as a Rs5.5 crore subway is planned near Mantri Square Mall. The Union Minister, V. Somanna announced that this subway will help thousands of commuters move around safely and easily between transport hubs, it will also help reduce traffic at one of Bengaluru's busiest junctions.
What Is the Pedestrian Subway Project?
The Pedestrian Subway is going to be an underground crossing planned at Railway Km 1/300-400 behind Mantri Mall in Bengaluru. This Pedestrian Subway is 5 metres wide and 2.65 metres high and the main goal of the project is to make sure people are safe when they are walking around railway tracks.
