India, Sept. 23 -- Global media and entertainment companies have spent the past couple of years trying to figure out where they sit in the AI stack, whether as buyers of AI tools, builders of proprietary technology, or simply bystanders watching enterprise software companies capture the value. A handful of players with deep technical roots in visual effects and content production have chosen to build rather than buy, spinning out internal AI capabilities into standalone ventures that can raise capital and scale on their own terms.
