Paras Defence receives Rs26.59 Cr order from DRDO for Hyperspectral Mission
India, Sept. 28 -- Satellites that look down at the Earth are only as good as the optics they carry. The lenses, mirrors and mounts have to stay perfectly aligned through launch vibration and the swings of temperature in orbit. Hyperspectral imaging pushes this even further, since the sensor splits light into hundreds of narrow bands to tell crops, minerals and water quality apart. Very few Indian private companies can make this kind of hardware end to end.
