India, Sept. 23 -- India's rooftop solar push has increasingly relied on companies that already understand solar hardware and installation at scale, rather than pure-play construction contractors bidding on unfamiliar technology. State renewable energy agencies rolling out large institutional solar programmes, covering schools, government buildings and public facilities, have found it efficient to work with manufacturers who bring their own modules, engineering teams and after-sales servicing network into a single contract.
