India, April 1 -- Bhilai-based engineering firm Atmastco Limited has achieved a landmark technical breakthrough in its move into the defence sector. In a regulatory filing dated April 1, 2026, the company announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Atmastco Defence Systems Private Limited, has cleared mandatory ballistic testing at the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) in Gandhinagar.
The evaluation, completed on March 30, confirmed that the company's Soft Armor Panels (SAP) and Hard Armor Panels (HAP) met the rigorous IS 17051:2018 Indian Standard.
