India, Aug. 5 -- Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of U.S tech giant , Meta on Wednesday afternoon apologised to the Government of India over a series of lapses on the company's platforms, bringing to an end days of escalating tensions with New Delhi and highlighting the unique strategic relationship between the world's largest social media company and its biggest user market.
The apology followed the government's objections over multiple issues, including the temporary restriction of a post by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and broader concerns relating to content moderation on Meta's platforms.
