India, Oct. 21 -- The New York Yankees are keeping Brian Cashman in charge of baseball operations despite another disappointing postseason exit, with the general manager agreeing to a new contract that will bring him back for his 30th season in 2027.

Cashman announced the agreement on Wednesday, October 21, alongside managing partner Hal Steinbrenner.

The final contract language is still being completed, and the financial terms have not been disclosed.

The decision sends a clear message: the Yankees believe their existing leadership can still deliver a championship, even as the franchise approaches 18 years without a World Series title.
