India, June 8 -- Jaipur witnessed an extensive security deployment on Monday as the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) carried out a major anti-encroachment operation in the Jagatpura area of Malviya Nagar. The drive involved the demolition of several unauthorised structures, including parts of the Noorani Mosque, as part of a road-widening project aimed at expanding a key route to 80 feet. Supported by more than 3,000 police personnel and units of the Rapid Action Force (RAF), the area was placed under tight security, giving the neighbourhood a fortress-like atmosphere.
