India, Sept. 24 -- Jonathan Taylor Thomas was arrested in California earlier this week after a traffic stop involving a vehicle he was riding in. The former Home Improvement star was a passenger in the vehicle when deputies stopped it in Westlake Village on Monday, Sept. 21.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Thomas appeared intoxicated and repeatedly got out of the vehicle while deputies were investigating the driver. Police said he was arrested on suspicion of obstruction and public intoxication. The sheriff's department also alleges that Thomas kicked a deputy in the stomach while officers tried to detain him.
