India, Aug. 28 -- Coyote vs. Acme is finally in theatres but getting there was anything but easy. The Looney Tunes comedy had already been completed when Warner Bros. decided not to release it in 2023. For a while, it looked like audiences might never get to see the film at all.

The movie had reportedly tested well, had a cast led by Will Forte, John Cena and Lana Condor, and had already gone through years of work before the studio pulled the plug. Instead of giving it a theatrical or streaming release, Warner Bros. planned to take a tax write-off on the production.
