India, May 27 -- A fresh diplomatic push by US President Donald Trump to expand the Abraham Accords has sparked tensions in Pakistan and raised questions about whether Pakistan may eventually need to redesign its passports. The issue has gained attention because Pakistani passports currently carry a line clearly stating they are 'valid for all countries of the world except Israel'.

If Pakistan ever decides to recognise Israel under a future regional peace arrangement linked to the Abraham Accords, the country may have to remove that restriction, which would mark one of the biggest symbolic changes in Pakistan's foreign policy in decades.
