India, Aug. 4 -- The US markets witnessed a significant rise on Tuesday due to the improvement in the geopolitical environment, solid earnings and optimism over the spending in AI. The S&P 500 climbed to a new record while the Dow Jones jumped by over 700 points and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent that an agreement with regards to the Strait of Hormuz is nearing. Crude oil prices fell and acted as a tailwind for the markets by reducing the worries of inflation and the Nasdaq also rose amid the gains in semiconductors and technology, driven by AI spending and solid earnings.
