India, Aug. 21 -- US shares rose on Friday, August 21, as the market recovered from its previous day's steep decline and saw buying activity in stocks. This despite the fact that the overall market is still affected by high interest rates, oil prices and the Fed's next move.
In the latest reading, the Dow Jones Index gained 382.83 points, or 0.73%, to 53,142.04 and the Nasdaq Index advanced by 93.72 points, or 0.36%, to 26,160.89, whereas the S&P 500 Index rose by 36.22 points, or 0.47%, to 7,677.3
