India, June 19 -- Joao Neves has come under fire due to his comment on Cristiano Ronaldo after Portugal's draw against DR Congo in the FIFA World Cup opener. Ronaldo, featuring in his sixth campaign, was unable to influence the game at all as Neves scored the only goal for his team before Congo equalised in the second half. While the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been widely criticised for his underwhelming display, a section of his fans refused to accept it. Instead, they blamed the midfielders, including Bruno Fernandes, for not being able to create enough chances in the final third.
