India, July 31 -- The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Council has confirmed that Russia will remain suspended from several major international tournaments during the 2026-27 season after reviewing a request from the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) for reinstatement. The request covered multiple events, including the 2027 IIHF Men's and Women's World Championships, the World Junior Championship, and the men's and women's Under-18 World Championships. Each tournament was assessed individually before a final decision was reached.
