India, Oct. 2 -- Some BNB Smart Chain payment systems still wait for 15 additional blocks before treating a transfer as settled. That rule dates from an older version of the network, when blocks arrived every three seconds. BNB Chain now says its finality signal can give payment services certainty sooner, which raises a practical question: are delays coming from the blockchain or from software still using the old rule?

The payment's value is a separate calculation. On September 18, 2026, Binance listed the BNB price at approximately $740.10. That quote can be used to value a BNB payment in dollars; it does not establish when the transfer is settled.
