India, Aug. 22 -- For years, Rajesh Kumar was familiar to television audiences as the hilariously dramatic Rosesh Sarabhai in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. But in 2017, the actor made a decision that took his life far away from television sets. He left Mumbai and returned to his hometown, Gaya in Bihar, where he decided to try his hand at farming.

But what followed was nothing like a smooth transition from acting to agriculture. Rajesh spent years learning about land, soil and plantation, faced floods, the pandemic and water shortages, and eventually found himself dealing with debt worth Rs 2 crore.
