India, Aug. 7 -- The All India Football Federation's decision to appoint Ranjit Bajaj as the manager of India's U-15 team for the FIFA U-15 World Cup in Azerbaijan has hit an immediate roadblock. Within hours of the announcement, the Minerva Academy owner chose to step away from the role and will not take charge of the national youth side.

Bajaj reportedly declined the position due to differences with head coach Bibiano Fernandes over their footballing philosophies. While Bajaj prefers an aggressive, high-pressing style of play, Fernandes is said to favour a more defensive approach, leading to a disagreement over the team's tactical direction.
