India, June 13 -- In a shocking revelation, FIFA has ordered the Egypt national football team to remove the seven stars from their jersey for the World Cup 2026. Those stars signify Egypt's dominance at the continental stage. They have won the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) seven times. However, according to FIFA, continental achievements can't be showcased in the World Cup. Egypt, drafted in Group G, kick off their campaign with a big match against Belgium on June 15. Following FIFA's request, the Pharaohs will be wearing a remodelled jersey without the AFCON stars in the World Cup opener.
