India, July 15 -- The Call The Midwife star Helen George has opened up about one of the most heartbreaking experiences she has ever faced where she revealed why she had to fly to the Bahamas just a day after her boyfriend was diagnosed with leukaemia.

The actress shared that the difficult phase began in 2025 when she was dating a man whose identity she has chosen not to reveal. Although the relationship was still new, his sudden diagnosis changed everything almost overnight. Despite the emotional turmoil, George had to leave for the Bahamas the very next day to film ITV's Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters.
