India, June 7 -- A 23-year-old college student from Mapusa, Goa, killed himself on a social media days after a video of him littering on the side of a road went viral and resulted in him being picked up by police. According to police, he committed suicide with a family-owned, licensed weapon. After being taken to a hospital, he was pronounced dead. An accidental death case has been registered, and authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident. The authorities have not made any direct link between the viral video, the ensuing police case, and his death, but are gathering information about what happened and talking to family members and acquaintances.
