India, Aug. 15 -- Jason Arday, the former University of Cambridge professor who became the university's youngest Black professor in 2023, has died aged 41 after being found unresponsive at an address in Battersea, London. His death comes days after he resigned from Cambridge amid intense scrutiny over allegations concerning his academic work and qualifications.

The Metropolitan Police said the death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
