India, June 1 -- Urban India's digital future belongs to two ambitious groups: young social media users and women consumers. A new report by VTION and IAMAI shows that Indians are spending record hours and hours on social media and women are emerging as the most active among India's e-commerce and quick-commerce users.
Why are Urban young Indians spending more time on social media?
The report says that young Indians aged 18-24 use social media for more than 120 minutes per day, more than the category average of 97.9 minutes. The report also says that the segment continues to be driven by young users and is up by 5 per cent in monthly active users.
