India, April 19 -- A high-profile arrest at Los Angeles International Airport has drawn international attention after Shamim Mafi, an Iranian businesswoman and US Green Card holder was detained on allegations of brokering arms deals linked to Tehran. Federal prosecutors claim the 44 year old facilitated transactions involving drones, explosives and ammunition reportedly destined for Sudan.

Feds arrest an Iranian woman last night at LAX right before she was about to get on a flight to Turkey. Shamim Mafi is accused of brokering Iranian bombs, weapons, drones and ammunition to Sedan.
