India, Aug. 15 -- Sebastien Pocognoli has emerged as the leading candidate to take charge of Scotland's men's national football team, with the Scottish FA understood to have identified the former Monaco boss as its preferred choice to replace Steve Clarke. The 39-year-old Belgian is currently without a job after leaving Monaco in June. His growing reputation comes from a successful spell with Union Saint-Gilloise, where he guided the Belgian club to a league title last year. Pocognoli could now be handed the task of leading Scotland after their heartbreaking exit from the FIFA World Cup.
