India, Sept. 24 -- Essex cricketer Robin Das has been charged with two counts of r*pe following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police.

The 24-year-old top-order batsman, who famously fielded as a substitute for England in a Test match at Lord's, has been suspended by his county club with immediate effect.
