India, July 26 -- Rishikanta Singh delivered India's first medal of Day 4 at the Commonwealth Games 2026, producing an impressive performance to secure silver in the men's 60kg weightlifting event in Glasgow. The Indian lifter finished with a combined total of 264kg and briefly etched his name into the record books by setting a new Commonwealth Games mark in the snatch with a 121kg lift on his third attempt, after successfully clearing 116kg and 119kg. His record, however, was quickly matched by Malaysia's Bin Kasdan Mohamad Aniq, who also lifted 121kg.
