India, April 3 -- US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has asked Army Chief of Staff General Randy George to retire immediately and this decision has been made by Hegseth as he believes in a leadership style that reflects his and President Trump's vision for the Army. A senior Pentagon official told CBS News, "We are grateful for his service, but it was time for a leadership change in the Army."
