India, Sept. 22 -- Major General Muhammad Shamraiz Khan has been appointed as the new Director General of the Special Operations Directorate, commonly referred to as DG-S, within Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), according to recent reports.

The appointment comes as part of a wider reshuffle involving senior positions in Pakistan's military and intelligence establishment. Khan previously served as the Director General of Pakistan Rangers Sindh and has held several operational military commands.
