India, Oct. 8 -- Veteran actor Nana Patekar's death on Thursday, October 8, has turned the spotlight towards his family, particularly his son Malhar Patekar. He confirmed the actor's death and became the first family member to speak about the tragedy.

Nana Patekar, 75, died at his residence in Goa after suffering what has been reported as a cardiac arrest. His son Malhar told media that he was in Pune when he received the news and was travelling to Goa.

Unlike his celebrated father, Malhar Patekar has maintained a private life away from Bollywood. He has, however, been associated with filmmaking and has worked behind the camera.
