India, Aug. 30 -- Divya Mittal, a 2014 batch IAS officer of the UP cadre, has resigned from the IAS after 13 years. She announced the decision on August 30 through a detailed social media post, describing her time in public service as an 'unforgettable' journey.

Mittal's career has attracted attention because of the unusual path she took before entering the IAS. An IIT Delhi graduate and IIM Bangalore alumna, she worked in London before returning to India and pursuing the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Her postings in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in Mirzapur, also made her a familiar name among the public and UPSC aspirants.
