India, July 26 -- At San Diego Comic-Con 2026, Marvel Studios officially announced that Ryan Gosling is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Ghost Rider, ending years of fan speculation. Studio president Kevin Feige introduced Gosling during the Hall H panel. He confirmed that the actor will headline a standalone Ghost Rider movie directed by Shawn Levy.

The announcement received one of the biggest cheers of the event and Gosling couldn't hide his excitement either. "As you know, this is a character I've wanted to play for a long time," the actor told the crowd.
