India, April 27 -- India has appointed former Union minister Dinesh Trivedi as its next High Commissioner to Bangladesh, in a move seen as part of New Delhi's broader effort to strengthen diplomatic engagement with its eastern neighbour.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced the appointment on Monday, stating that he will assume charge shortly. The posting comes at a time when India-Bangladesh relations are navigating political shifts and regional sensitivities.
