India, May 8 -- Abdul Mateen Patel, a councillor linked to the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, has come under the spotlight after police detained him in connection with the controversial TCS Nashik conversion and sexual harassment case. Investigators allege Patel helped one of the key accused, Nida Khan, avoid arrest while she remained absconding for several weeks.
