India, March 13 -- A US federal jury has convicted two Indian-origin brothers for running a large criminal enterprise that defrauded government programs and abused immigration rules to generate millions of dollars. Authorities said the men built a network of companies and fraudulent schemes that targeted the Medicaid program and exploited foreign workers through the H-1B visa system.
The brothers, Bhaskar Savani and Arun Savani, operated what prosecutors described as the "Savani Group", a complex organisation involved in healthcare fraud, visa fraud, money laundering and tax evasion.
