India, July 16 -- A live broadcast of NBC's Today took an unexpected turn on Thursday after an intruder reportedly entered the show's New York studio and confronted co-host Craig Melvin. The man was later taken into custody. Authorities have reportedly confirmed that no injuries were reported and an investigation is underway.

According to People, the incident took place at around 9 AM inside NBC's studios at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The publication, citing a source, reported that the man managed to get past security before confronting Melvin and allegedly shouting racial slurs.
