India, March 21 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a phone conversation with Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday. He conveyed greetings on the occasions of Eid and Nowruz and discussed the ongoing situation in West Asia. In a statement, Modi said, "Spoke with President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian and conveyed Eid and Nowruz greetings. We expressed hope that this festive season brings peace, stability and prosperity to West Asia."
India raises concern over attacks
During the call, the Prime Minister expressed concern over recent attacks on important infrastructure in the region. He said he "condemned attacks on critical infrastructure in the region, which threaten regional stability and disrupt global supply chains."
