India, June 14 -- Political crisis within All India Trinamool Congress has deepened further, with rebel MPs reportedly preparing to merge with the NDA camp through the Tripura-based Nationalist Citizen Party of India (NCPI). The development comes amid escalating internal rifts following the party's electoral setback in West Bengal.

Crisis inside TMC intensified after the party's defeat in the West Bengal Assembly elections held in April, ending its long 15-year rule in the state. Since then, multiple MPs and MLAs have expressed dissatisfaction over leadership decisions and the growing influence of national secretary Abhijeet Banerjee.
