India, May 1 -- The Election Commission has ordered fresh polling in select booths in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district after declaring earlier voting invalid. The move comes after reports of irregularities during the second phase of the Assembly elections, raising fresh political and administrative attention ahead of the counting day.
Where Will Re-Polling Take Place?
The repoll will be conducted in 15 polling stations across two Assembly constituencies. Out of these, 11 booths are located in Magrahat Paschim, while 4 booths fall under Diamond Harbour.
All these constituencies are part of the South 24 Parganas district, which witnessed intense polling activity during the second phase of elections.
