India, July 4 -- The multi-starer comedy Welcome To The Jungle, led by Akshay Kumar, has kept up a strong grip on the domestic box office as it slides into its second week. On day 8, the movie made a solid Rs.4.50 crore net in India, even as it ran into fresh competition at the theatres. This now pushes its total domestic collection to Rs.97.65 crore, which puts it basically a step away from the Rs.100 crore milestone. Abroad, the film has already cleared Rs.143 crore gross, largely because families are showing up in good numbers, and they are clearly taking delight in its complete entertainment plus comedy-fueled chaos.
