India, April 29 -- India is witnessing a sharp weather contrast on April 29, 2026. Northern, western and central regions continue to battle rising heat while eastern states and hill regions may see thunderstorms, rain and isolated snowfall as several cities are expected to cross 40degC, while parts of the Himalayas could remain below 10degC. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has flagged heatwave-like conditions in multiple belts with pre-monsoon activity offering relief in selected regions.
