India, April 15 -- India is witnessing a rapid shift toward peak summer conditions as temperatures climb sharply across northern, central and southern regions. According to the India Meteorological Department, nearly 95% of the country is experiencing clear skies, accelerating daytime heating. Several cities are already approaching 40degC, while central and peninsular regions may see temperatures between 42degC and 45degC this week with warmer nights, falling humidity and fading western disturbances are further intensifying heat stress, particularly across urban centers.
