India, Sept. 26 -- Virat Kohli is set to don the Blue jersey again, ending a long wait of nearly two months. The Indian batting icon, who was last seen in action against England at Lord's, will feature in the ODI series opener against the West Indies on September 27 in Thiruvananthapuram. With Shubman Gill leading the Men in Blue, another senior batter, Rohit Sharma, also returns to the fold.

With his eyes set on the 2027 ODI World Cup, Kohli will look to make the most out of his home assignments while also keeping his fitness in check. The 37-year-old, having already retired from T20Is and Tests, recently revealed his ambition for the "last World Cup."
