India, July 12 -- A company sponsored trip to Vietnam turned tragic after a tourist speedboat carrying Indian travellers capsized near Phu Quoc Island on Saturday. At least 15 Indians, including 14 Lava Mobiles channel partners and one company employee, lost their lives in the accident. According to survivors, the boat capsized within seconds after travelling only 300 to 400 metres from the island.

According to the Indian Embassy in Hanoi, 15 Indian nationals lost their lives in the Vietnam boat accident. The victims included 10 people from Tamil Nadu, three from Andhra Pradesh, and two from Kerala. Lava Mobiles said that 14 of those who died were its channel partners, while one was a member of the company's team.
