India, July 27 -- After an impressive Zimbabwe tour, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi may now hope to make his ODI debut for Team India in the near future. Though the BCCI has yet to decide how the youngster could fit in the star-studded batting lineup, former cricketer Farokh Engineer looks quite convinced. With Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli still on the roster, he feels Sooryavanshi would be a good choice in an opening role. However, for that to happen, either Rohit or captain Shubman Gill would need to compromise their place.

According to Farokh Engineer, Sooryavanshi should pair up with Rohit, while Gill could take the No. 4 spot, leaving the anchorman role for Kohli.
