India, Aug. 31 -- Schools in Uttarakhand may see weather-related closures on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, as several parts of the state remain vulnerable to heavy rain and disruptions. There is no blanket closure across Uttarakhand at present. District administrations are taking separate decisions based on rainfall, road conditions and the safety situation in their respective areas.

Nainital Schools Closed On September 1

The Nainital district administration has announced a school holiday for September 1 in view of the prevailing weather conditions.
