India, Aug. 14 -- The Himalayan state of Uttarakhand has been facing immense rain lately, and the turbulent weather has caused flash floods and landslides in some districts. Now the IMD has put out orange & yellow alerts in 11 districts of the state, as rain is expected to continue.

IMD's Recent Forecast

In its recent forecast, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) warned of heavy to very heavy rain in Uttarakhand and issued an orange alert in 4 districts and yellow alerts in 7 districts.
