India, July 11 -- Heavy rainfall continued to cause widespread disruption across several states on July 10, triggering floods, landslides, and road closures in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and the Northeast. Continuous rain disrupted normal life in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura, and Jammu & Kashmir. Floods, landslides, and overflowing rivers damaged roads, disrupted transport, and forced thousands of people to move to safer places. At least two people lost their lives, thousands were affected, and rescue teams remained on high alert as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned of more rain in the coming days.
