India, May 11 -- In a major reshuffle, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently added six new members to his cabinet in Lok Bhawan, Lucknow. The move, which comes ahead of next year's Assembly elections is being seen as a strategic expansion by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Who Are the New Ministers?
The six new cabinet ministers who are now a part of Yogi Adityanath's government in UP are as follows:
Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary: An MLC (member of Legislative Council) and ex state president of the BJP's UP division.
Manoj Kumar Pandey: A rebel leader from the Samajwadi Party who defected to join BJP. Current MLA from the Unchahar assembly seat.
Krishna Paswan: MLA from the Khaga assembly seat in Fatehpur district.
